Kansas City Screw Products Inc. is located at 2908 Truman Road,
in Kansas City, Missouri. It is just east of Downtown off of I-70
between Prospect and Benton Blvd. and operates out of a new 20,000
square foot building. This business was founded in 1943 by Frank
Leighter, and has built and maintained a superior and special
reputation for quality production and on-time service.
Although we are known as a “Screw Products Manufacturer”, our
production capability extends far beyond simply making screws. We
are able to precision turn (within .0005 tolerances) from your plans
or sample parts, in all grades of aluminum, brass, stainless steel,
alloys, nylons, and other engineered plastics. Producing precision
screw machine products as small as 3/32ns to 2-1/4”, we are selected
by leading OEMs to produce many high tech parts for
telecommunications, automobiles, conveyor components, and medical
equipment, just to mention a few. In addition to one of the largest
single and multiple screw machine facilities in our area, we have
the latest in CNC vertical milling, CNC lathes, drilling, deburring,
and sanding so that we can maintain complete control over the
progress of our jobs. Our work is constantly checked for maximum
quality and specification assurance. Precise records are kept of
certifications when required. Facilities include certified ring and
thread gauges, plug gauges, caliper, and optical comparators, and
other precision measuring devices for our continual Quality Control
Procedures.
Early on we realized if we were going to keep our customer satisfied
and productive, with a highly competitive service, we had to perform
faster, more efficiently and solve emergency problems better than
our competition. This meant we had to depend on ourselves, and not
on outside suppliers to satisfy our clientele. Thus, whatever you
require in precision turning, CNC milling and lathe work, secondary
finishing services, heat treating and plating can be handled under

Kansas City Screw Products, Inc. has successfully been in business
since 1943, and has made and continues to make major capital
improvements in equipment and facilities. The majority of our key
technicians have been with the company for more than ten years. We
can work from plans, samples, or prototypes, and are capable of
reverse engineering.
